Governor Douglas Cagas spearheaded the Groundbreaking Ceremony of 10.6 km long Concrete Road at Sitio Piping

Despite the remoteness of the area, Governor Douglas Cagas himself spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony at Sitio Piping, Barangay Sibulan, Sta. Cruz, today.
ย
Present during the event were PNP XI Deputy Regional Director PCol Edgar Alan Okubo, representing PNP XI Regional Director PBGen Filmore Escobal, as well as Davao del Sur PNP Provincial Director PCol Alberto Lupaz.
ย
According to Sibulan Barangay Captain Danny Abe and residents in the area, this 10.6-kilometer-long concrete road connecting Barangay Tibolo and Sibulan in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur to Barangay Barakatan, Toril District, Davao City, worth 360 million pesos, is one of the government’s promises to the people formerly involved in insurgency or armed activity.
ย
Now, it is easier and closer to travel from Digos City to Calinan, Davao City, by taking the said by-pass road via Kapatagan, Tibolo, Sibulan, and Baracatan.
