39th Infantry Battalion Philippine Army received assistance from Davao del Sur Provincial Government

The 39th Infantry Battalion (IB) Philippine Army (PA) received assistance from the Davao del Sur Provincial Government, today, during the Monday Convocation Program held at the Provincial Coliseum, Matti, Digos City.

The turnover ceremony was spearheaded by Governor Douglas Cagas, Vice Governor Marc Cagas, and Second District Board Member Atty. Carmelo Delos Cientos III, and was formally accepted by Battalion Executive Officer MAJ. Victor Inting and 1st Lt. Ronald Velasco, who represented Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Joeffrey Carandang.

The Information and Communication Equipment and handheld radio that was turned over consists of the following:

4 units of Computer
2 units of Printer worth P257,312.00
1 unit of Digital Single Lens Camera – P35,888.00
1 unit of Projector – P34,774.00
17 units of Dual Band handheld radio- P53,550.00
TOTAL AMOUNT = P381,524.00

The above-mentioned equipment was funded through the Provincial Government’s Integrated Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan to be used by the army in their operations.

This activity is related to Executive Order No. 70 by President Rodrigo Duterte, Institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach in Attaining Inclusive and Sustainable Peace, Creating a National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, and Directing the Adoption of a National Framework.
