Provincial Government of Davao del Sur Turned Over P125,000.00 Worth of Seed Capital

YESTERDAY : September 25, 2020, Provincial Government of Davao del Sur turned over P125,000.00 worth of seed capital to MAPOKA FARMERS ASSOCIATION to fund it’s Livelihood project which is “ABACA FIBER MARKETING”. The association is composed of 25 farmer – members situated at Sitio Pogpog, Barangay Sibulan, Sta. Cruz.

The Livelihood Program, funded under Peace and Order Program, is one of the banner programs of the present administration through the leadership of Hon. Governor Douglas Ra Cagas to provide livelihood financial assistance to all eligible associations within Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged and Conflict Affected Areas.

The program aims to create a sustainable livelihood and development thus improving the economic well-being of the vulnerable, marginalize and disadvantage individuals and families.

Present during the event was Office of the Special Programs Staff Mr. Fel Ombay together with DILG representatives and Philippine Army personnel.
