Biz group upbeat over ‘ease of doing business’ law

Provincial Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (PSMEDC) chair Danny So Chan has expressed optimism that Republic Act 11032 or the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018″ will change the mindset “on the government side” for an easier way to put up or renew businesses.

The law was signed by Pres. Rodrigo R. Duterte last May this year and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) is yet to come out.

RA 11032 is expected to reduce red tape and speed up, streamline, and modernize the processing of government-required permits and licenses necessary for setting up businesses in the country.

The Act shall apply to all government offices and agencies including local government units that provide services covering business and non-business related transactions.
