Reopening of Passig Islet Aqua-Eco Park Resort and Turnover Ceremonies

The Reopening of Passig Islet Aqua-Eco Park Resort and Turnover Ceremonies was successfully held at Barangay Bato, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

 

Gov. Douglas Cagas, Vice-Governor Marc Cagas, and Sta. Cruz Mayor Jaime Lao spearheaded the event attended by officials from Barangay Bato, the capitol department heads, and others.

 

Regional Director of the Department of Tourism XI Ms. Tanya Rabat-Tan and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Davao del Sur Provincial Director Ms. Delia Ayano also spent time gracing the historic event with their presence.

 

The total cost of the projects from the DPWH Davao del Sur District to the Davao del Sur Provincial Government is known to be 7 million pesos. It consists of new cottages, a pasalubong center, villa, mini pavilion, water supply, and electricity.

 

The Passig Islet will be open to the public from January 23, 2021, today, Saturday, but anyone wishing to visit the islet must book first. Minimum health protocols are also fully implemented including the scanning of DS-CCTS or QR codes in the province.

 

The event was a success due to the diligence and initiative of the team led by Provincial Tourism Officer Kervin Elijay. But it cannot be denied that, if it were not for the efforts, strategy, and commitment of Congw Mercedes Cagas, with the strong support of Gov. Cagas, the creation of the Passig Islet would not be achieved.
