Governor Douglas Cagas Announced the Decrease in the Number of Active Cases of COVID-19

Governor Douglas Cagas announced the decrease in the number of active cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Province of Davao del Sur. This was achieved due to the people adopting the minimum public health protocols. The governor then urged the public to continue observing the protective measures against the deadly virus.
As of yesterday, February 28, 2021, the province has only 63 active cases from 107 active cases last Monday, February 22, 2021. At the latest data, a nurse from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) was tested positive.
On the other hand, Provincial Administrator Atty. Herbert Gonzalez said the province is just waiting for the AstraZeneca-Research-Based BioPharmaceutical Company’s response once the vaccine is available as the province has already allocated 463,000 doses. The procurement of vaccines is part of the P108 million allotted by the province.
