65 La Union Integrated Farmers Association beneficiaries were delighted to receive their Livelihood Assistance

Sixty-five La Union Integrated Farmers Association beneficiaries in Barangay La Union, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur, were delighted to receive their livelihood assistance from the Provincial Government this morning.

Livelihood Program Manager Reynel Dalapo, Board Members Atty. Merlin Bello, Atty. Carmelo Delos Cientos III, Atty. Ana Anna Margarita A. Razonable, and SK Federation President Mark Joel Arendain Gallardo, who spearheaded the turnover of livelihood assistance amounting to P200,000.00 to the beneficiaries to be used as additional capital for micro-enterprise projects, represented Governor Marc Cagas.

Also present during the event were Hagonoy Mayor Franco Magno Calida along with Municipal Councilors Hon. Dante Asnar and Hon. Fritz Gerald Blanco Surposa, Deputy Governor Jerry Responso, barangay officials headed by Barangay Captain Cielito Avillon and others.

“I am very thankful with the assistance we received. It will be quite beneficial to us, farmers, to be able to generate more income,” said Ramel Ramos, a member of the association.

“The livelihood program, which was started by former Governor Douglas Cagas and is being continued by Governor Marc, is one of Cagas Administration’s many programs. Its main objective is to improve people’s living conditions,” Livelihood Program Manager Reynel Dalapo said in a statement.

Dalapo further stated that since the beginning of the program, 326 organizations had benefited from it, with an overall value of โ‚ฑ90 million.
