First Batch of Livelihood Settlement Grants Orientation for nearly 100 Former Rebels was successfully conducted
The first batch of the Davao del Sur Provincial Government’s Orientation on Livelihood Settlement Grants for nearly one hundred Former Rebels (FR) was successfully conducted today at the Training Center, Provincial Nursery in Bansalan.
Each beneficiary was required to attend an orientation to learn about their project proposal for the P20,000.00 livelihood grant from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which will be monitored by the DSWD staff and the Philippine Army’s 39th Infantry Battalion.
The orientation on agriculture production was led by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) while the seminar for sari-sari store management was also given by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Provincial E-CLIP Focal Person Lenevic M. Poresores was hoping that the FRs will not waste the great opportunity that had been presented to them now that they have returned to the folds of the law.
This activity is part of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), a mandate under Executive Order No. 70 by President Rodrigo Duterte.
