MANDATE

Provincial Veterinary Office was specifically created by the Provincial Government to promote, develop and protect the livestock industry in the province.
It is also mandated to protect the people of Davao Del Sur against rabies.

VISION

Aims to increase the income of livestock farmers through programs that will improve livestock production;
protect the health of livestock by preventing the entry and spread of animal diseases; and eradicate rabies in Davao Del Sur.

MISSION

Safeguard the province from the entry of zoonotic, infectious, communicable animal diseases and
improve the livestock industry towards a sustainable Agro-industrialCommercial-Eco-Tourism Province.

FRONTLINE SERVICES

ANIMAL HEALTH PROGRAM
Deals with health concerns of livestock and poultry for the reduction of disease mortality and ensuring food security.

RABIES AWARENESS, PREVENTION AND POPULATION CONTROL PROGRAM

Handles companion animal vaccination against rabies, information dissemination and animal population control for the reduction of human rabies cases in the Province.

ANIMAL BREEDING PROGRAM

Provides artificial insemination services, heat synchronization and pregnancy diagnosis for large ruminants.

Ensures that animal and animal products coming to and fro the Province are free from infectious diseases.

🐐🐐GOAT(MEAT TYPE) ECONOMIC ENTERPRISE PROGRAM🐐🐐

Promotes engagement of backyard farmers to goat production and income generation for the Province.

We, the officials and employees of the Provincial Veterinary Office, pledge to deliver quality public services as promised in the citizen’s charter, pledge to use
our scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources and the promotion of public health.

We shall also provide prompt and reliable service to our clientele.

Animal Health Care Services (Veterinary Mission)

This is a continuing program, day long activity that extends technical services to Livestock/Poultry raisers specifically to the various barangay local government units in our province

Anthelmintics administration on large ruminant. It is used to control internal parasites. Some anthelmintics are also effective against external parasites. Parasites can lead to reduced performance in cattle

The PVO team in coordination with Municipal Agriculture Office of Sulop conducted veterinary mission and massive anti rabies vaccination at Brgy. Luparan. Sulop.

We are able to serve 122 farmers with 135 cattles, 48 carabaos, 5 horses and 197 goats given anthelmintics and vitamin supplemented. Also a total of 66 heads of dogs and cats are vaccinated with anti-rabies vaccine.

Veterinary Mission and Massive anti rabies vaccination at Brgy. Coronon, Sta. Cruz. A total of 323 farmers were benefited the services we offered with 122 cattles, 5 carabos, 21 horse and 95 goats were given anthelmintics and supplemented with vitamins. On the other side, a total of 322 heads of dogs and cats are able to vaccinated with anti rabies vaccine.

Veterinary Mission and Massive anti rabies vaccination at Brgy. Pitu, Malalag. A total of 85 farmers benefited the services with 28 cattle, 2 carabao, 20 horse and 24 goats we are able to gave anthelmintics, supplemented with vitamins and a total of 66 heads of dogs and cats vaccinate with anti rabies.
