Davao del Sur, Ipailawom na sa State of Calamity

The entire province of Davao del Sur was declared in a State of Calamity due to the ongoing drought. The resolution declaring the State of Calamity, sponsored by Board Member Atty. Merlin Bello, was approved during a Special Session last March 12, 2019 at the Provincial Council through unanimous votes.According to the law, if two or more municipalities have declared under the State of Calamity, the entire province can declare as well.

Livelihood Assistance Ngadto sa 10 ka Asosasyon, Mokabat sa Php2.2-Million

Another batch of legitimate associations has received financial support from the Provincial Government. Ten associations here in the province were granted with funds through the Livelihood Program of the Cagas Administration. They received cash assistance with a total amount of Php2,251,500.00 during the ceremonial turn-over throughout the Regular Monday Convocation last March 4, 2019 in the Provincial Coliseum.

8-km nga Dalang Nagsumpay sa Matanao ug Magsaysay, Gi-Turn Over

Beneath the scourging heat of the sun, a huge number of people from Matanao and Magsaysay greeted Gov. Douglas Cagas and Congw. Mercedes Cagas with warmth during the turn-over ceremony of an 8-km cemented road. Concreting of the said road is worth Php105-M, connecting Barangay Poblacion and Murcia of the municipality of Matanao and Barangay Blocon and Calamagoy of the municipality of Magsaysay. The governor and congresswoman themselves led the said event, together with Matanao Mayor Vincent Fernandez and Magsaysay Mayor Arthur Davin, officials of the two municipalities, and barangay officials of the four barangays.
