Coronavirus Vaccination Campaign in Sulop began today after the Municipality received Sinovac Vaccine

The coronavirus vaccination campaign in Sulop, Davao del Sur, began today, Wednesday, a day after the municipality received two shipments of the Sinovac vaccine, held at Sulop Municipal Covered Court.
Sulop received its first two shipments of Sinovac vaccine: 42 vials on March 10, 2021, the same day that the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital (DSPH) launched its vaccination campaign, and another 15 vials yesterday, March 16, 2021, both delivered by the DOH Davao Region with the assistance of some DSPH staff. Today, the municipality has begun administering shots, starting with healthcare workers.
Present during the ceremonial launching were Provincial Health Officer Dr. Jonna Masongsong, COVID-19 Vaccination CZAR Dr. Fidel Marcelo Miguel Malate, Sulop Mayor Atty. Jose Jimmy Sagarino, Vice Mayor Atty. Willie Villegas, municipal councilors, and Sulop healthcare workers.
“This is not the solution, but it is a part of the solution,” Dr. Masongsong said during the program. “Thus, we should always stick to the minimum public health standards despite that we are vaccinated,” she added.
Nurse Crisnelda Celocia, Sulop Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Coordinator, thanked the National Government and the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur, under the leadership of Governor Douglas Cagas, for their efforts in securing vaccines for their municipality. “We are in this battle or trial with God. So this vaccine is a dose of our hope,” she said.
On the other hand, other public and private hospitals in Davao del Sur also launched their COVID-19 vaccination campaign today, while others have been doing so.
After 28 days of the first dose, the second dose of vaccination is required to complete the series of vaccinations. (PIO|ZFD)
