DAVAO DEL SUR KICKS OFF PROVINCIAL VACCINATION DAYS

As the formal opening of the Provincial Vaccination Days, mass vaccination was successfully held in Barangay Savoy in Matanao today, January 21, 2022.

 

Thousands of residents from the barangay and adjacent areas flocked to the vaccination site. Adults, pregnant women, nursing moms, PWDs, senior citizens, and young people ranging in age from 12 to17, have expressed interest in getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

Governor Marc Cagas, who first thought of this unique activity, attended the first day of Provincial Vaccination Days, which are held every Friday in various locations around the province in compliance with the governor’s Executive Order No. 05.

 

This activity aims to increase the number of persons in the province who have been vaccinated in order to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases.

 

Apart from the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur, led by the Provincial Health Office and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, various government agencies and private sectors such as the PNP, AFP (39th IB), DILG, DOH, NCIP, PIA, Philippine National Red Cross, and others also witnessed the said event.
