A three-classroom temporary learning shelter (TLS) worth ₱394,000 was provided to Tulogan Elementary School in Tulogan, Padada today (July 26) by the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur.

Governor Yvonne Roña Cagas spearheaded the cutting of the ribbon and turnover ceremony of the TLS, which was formally accepted by the school, led by Principal Jessie Gultiano.

Also witnessing the said event were Padada Mayor Frashale Guerrero, Tulogan Barangay Captain Edison Ferolino, some municipal and barangay councilors, teachers, parents, students, and others.

Guerrero said that since the projects and programs of the provincial government are continuous, it appears as though no election took place.

“I will keep supporting you as how former Congresswoman Didi Cagas loved and supported the school, teachers, and students,” Governor Cagas said in her message. She also urged teachers and parents to encourage their children to get vaccinated in preparation for the upcoming face-to-face classes.

The classrooms of the said school were destroyed by the series of earthquakes that hit the province and are no longer safe to use, which is why the TLS has been provided.
