DILG Davao del Sur recognized Municipal Peace and Order Council Awardees
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Davao del Sur handed over plaques and financial incentives to municipal and city governments in Davao del Sur for their commendable performance in maintaining peace and order in their respective localities through their functional peace and order councils.
The Municipal Peace and Order Councils (MPOC) of Malalag, Sulop, and Digos City tied for first place and received plaques of recognition and 130,000 pesos. MPOC of Matanao received 110,000 pesos as the second place and MPOC of Hagonoy earned the third place and was awarded 100,000 pesos.
MPOCs of Magsaysay, Sta. Cruz, Bansalan, Padada, and Kiblawan received plaques of recognition and a consolation prize worth 40,000 pesos.
The awards were received by the mayors, vice mayors, and representatives from the different LGUs.
Members of PPOC, on the other hand, received plaques of appreciation for their dedication and continuing support in the program’s implementation.
DILG Provincial Director Mika-Chan Magtulis, Governor Yvonne Roña Cagas, Vice Governor Riafe Cagas-Fernandez, and board members presented the awards during the Monday Convocation Program today, September 19, 2022 at the Davao del Sur Coliseum, Gov. Douglas Ra. Cagas Sports and Business Center in Matti, Digos City.
