Governor Yvonne Roña Cagas stated that she will assist in locating an area along the coastlines for a Provincial Coast Guard Headquarters

This is the response of the governor to the request of CG Commodore Agapito B. Bibat, District Commander, Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao, CG Captain Anuar G. Indal, Station Commander, Coast Guard Station Davao, and colleagues during a courtesy call on August 24, 2022, at the Provincial Capitol in Barangay Matti, Digos City.

 

Commodore Bibat stated that having a base here in the province would be very beneficial for keeping an eye on the sea that belongs to Davao del Sur.

 

Officials from PCG expressed their enthusiasm about supporting the activities of the provincial government, such as planting mangroves, coastal clean up, and others.

 

Governor Cagas was grateful for the PCG staff’s visit and hoping for a long-lasting partnership.
