Major General Greg T. Almerol, AFP, the newly appointed Commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom), paid Governor Douglas Cagas a courtesy call today at the Provincial Capitol in Matti, Digos City. Lt. Col. Jeoffrey Carandang, 2Lt. Sharmaine Dela Rosa, Col. Ted Dumosbog (INF) PA 1002Bde, 10ID, PA, and others were among those who accompanied the officer.

 

The visit had several goals, one of which was to strengthen cooperation between the Davao del Sur Provincial Government and the Philippine Armed Forces.

 

The governor and army officials also discussed long-term assistance programs for former members of the leftist movement who had returned to the folds of the law.
