Region-wide Destruction of Dangerous Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia was successfully held at the Davao del Sur Sports Complex

The Regionwide Destruction of Dangerous Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia was successfully held at the Davao del Sur Sports Complex, today. It was attended by PDEA and PNP personnel from the provinces of Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, including Davao City.

 

Governor Douglas Cagas as Guest Speaker, Vice Gov. Marc Cagas, PDEA Regional Director Anthony Rivera, PDEA Davao del Sur Provincial Director Mildred Driz-Romero, PNP Davao del Sur Provincial Director Col. Alberto Lupaz, Provincial Prosecutor Atty. Teresita Manabeng Recto, and others graced the event with their presence.

 

Sacks of marijuana, 1.9 kilograms of shabu, and other drug paraphernalia from 25 courts across Region XI were burned outside the Davao del Sur Coliseum.

 

The reported illegal drugs were previously used as evidence to convicts in cases involving violations of Republic Act No.9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
