The first day of Community Culinary Training was held at Lao Integrated Farm located in Barangay Eman, Bansalan, Davao del Sur. It was initiated by the Department of Tourism Region XI in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur.
Twenty-seven participants from the municipalities of Bansalan, Sta. Cruz, Hagonoy, Sulop, Kiblawan, Padada, Matanao, and the City of Digos, have the skills to cook and sell savory foods. The objective of this event is to introduce the province to the field of the food tourism industry.
Among those in charge of the training was the newly appointed Provincial Tourism Officer Mr. Kervin Joseph Elijay along with the tourism officers in different municipalities and one city in the province of Davao del Sur.
