P25M Irrigation Project Turned Over to BADOMA ICS
o solve the irrigation problem of farmers who are members of the BADOMA Irrigators Service Association Inc. in Barangay Dolo, Bansalan, Davao del Sur, the government responded to their requests for a proper water supply for their farms.
Today, the dam rehabilitation project including canalization worth 25 million pesos was formally turned over by the National Irrigation Administration through Engr. Rona Presto, Acting Division Manager Davao del Sur IMO to BADOMA CIS and was accepted by the association headed by their president, John Ruzzel Igsi.
Present during the event were Vice Governor Marc Cagas, Congressional Staff Irick Agbon, Bansalan Mayor Quirino Sarte along with some municipal councilors, barangay officials led by Dolo Barangay Captain Erlinda Dela Cerna, and others.
Despite the difficulties and lack of financial resources, Vice Governor Cagas was pleased that they were still able to provide good support to BADOMA and the surrounding community. The vice governor encouraged those who attended the event to be financially conservative, motivated, and hardworking.
On the other hand, IA President Igsi was overwhelmed and grateful to Congresswoman Mercedes Cagas for the multi-million pesos project that was given to the farmers. He said that they only requested a million pesos but they received a project worth 25 million pesos. Through the congresswoman’s efforts, PBA Partylist Congressman Koko Nograles allocated a great amount for the said project.
