The launching of One Hospital Command Center took place today which was spearheaded by Governor Marc Cagas and his wife, Yvonne Roña Cagas, at the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital, Digos City.
The Command Center will house the One Hospital Command, which will ensure effective and efficient health facility referral in order to support a complete and coordinated response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also graced the event were Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Jonna Masongsong, Chief of Hospital Dr. Jaime Marcelo Razo, Provincial Health Officer I Dr. Elpidio R. Monarca, DSPH Admin Officer Wilrose Bismanos, Sanitation Inspector IV Maria Pamela Hernandez, Holding Area Head Nurse Jefrey Jan Cubero, Technical Working Group personnel, and employees.
Governor Cagas encouraged the DSPH’s frontline health workers to continue providing great services to the people.
“There is no other refuge for the poor here in the Province of Davao del Sur. Here, we’re merely a government hospital. We will provide them with as much care, protection, and service as we can,” the governor said in a statement.
The following are the upcoming projects announced by Governor Cagas:
1. Obstetrics Ward Rehabilitation
2. An additional fifteen (15) COVID patients’ beds
3. Frontliners’ Additional Dormitory
4. Building a Commissary Kitchen
5. Bahay Pag-asa Isolation Center for fifteen (15) patients
6. Sixteen (16) beds in the DSPH Isolation Center
7.Twenty Four (24) beds for Gregorio Matas Hospital in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur
