The Municipality of Hagonoy successfully celebrated its 69th Foundation Anniversary
The municipality of Hagonoy successfully celebrated its 69th foundation anniversary on July 5, 2022, with the theme “Bagong Sinag ay Palakasin, Sariling Lakas ay Tangkilikin, Pag-Unlad Ating Anihin.”

Governor Yvonne Cagas graced the celebration along with former governor and First Gentleman Marc Cagas.
In her message, Governor Cagas mentioned Hagonoy as one of the municipalities near and dear to the Cagas family.

Mayor Franco Calida commended the municipal and provincial governments’ collaboration under the Cagas Administration in transforming Hagonoy into the developed locality that it is today. He stated that without the latter’s support, Hagonoy’s economic success and abundance would be impossible.

On the other hand, the municipality recognizes and awards outstanding groups and individuals for their efforts and contributions.

Also in attendance were newly elected Vice Mayor Jesus Jay Dureza, former Vice Mayor Vincent Alexis Paden, municipal councilors, officials from different barangays, Hagonoy teachers, guests, and visitors.
