ECLIP from the PSWDO, DSWD, and DTI paid a visit to the five FRs of the Tupad Pangako Program in Barangay Malawanit, Magsaysay
ECLIP Focal Person Lenevic M. Poresores and ECLIP Staff Jessica Tan from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), DSWD Staff Mary Cres Arcayan, and DTI Technical Staff Mariella Joy Silva paid a visit to the five FRs of the Tupad Pangako Program in Barangay Malawanit, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.
39th IB Alpha Company Sgt. Amilil Kanacan, Sgt. Marjohn Durias, Barangay Captain Dennis Helbes, and Councilor Antonia T. Luzanda witnessed and spoke of the great improvement in the lives of FRs who have already gained a livelihood as a result of the assistance provided through the collaboration of government agencies.
Twenty-one(21) FRs, including the five FRs from Barangay Malawanit, graduated on January27, 2021 as the first batch of the Tupad Pangako Program, receiving P15,000 from Eclip, P50,000.00 in livelihood assistance, and a P5,000.00 startup kit from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The Davao del Sur Provincial Government, through Governor Douglas Cagas, had also provided financial assistance of P10,000.00 to the aforementioned. They were also trained such as basic welding, basic electrical installation, beauty care, and other skills. (PIO|MarisDane)
