Saliducon Cave in Barangay Saliducon, Sta. Cruz, formally opened during Kinaiyahan Festival

The Saliducon Cave, which is located in Barangay Saliducon, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, was formally opened during the Kinaiyahan Festival yesterday, April 15, 2021.

The event was headed by Barangay Captain Reynon Sombilon and was attended by Ms. Tanya Rabat-Tan, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism XI, and Provincial Tourism Officer Kervin Kyle Elijay.

According to Sta. Cruz Tourism Officer Julius Paner, the project also intends to provide alternative livelihoods to the people, particularly women and tour guides, aside from improving tourism in the area.

Mr. Paner further said that those who want to visit Saliducon Cave should coordinate with the barangay so that they can be directed through the process. Each person will pay P250, which will cover tour guide services, helmet and headlight use, entrance fee, and environmental fee.
