125 Recipients Of Government Internship Program Engaged In Actual Training In Hairdressing And Food Processing

Today, a total of 125 recipients (from Sulop, Davao del Sur) of the Government Internship Program (GIP) have engaged in actual training in hairdressing and food processing.

The program is part of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), provided by Sen. Joel Villanueva and given through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to the Province of Davao del Sur led by Governor Douglas Cagas. The aforementioned program was implemented through the Public Employment and Services Office headed by PESO Managerย Rolly Impas LptJd Mba, with a total amount of P2Million allocated by the senator.

Trainer Prof. Arlyn Omboy of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) taught the trainees the siomai, squash cracker, puto pao, and kikiam food processing, while Trainer Florencio Gica taught them proper hair coloring for hairdressing.

Similar training has already been completed by the 130 trainees from Kiblawan and 45 trainees from Digos City.
