Distribution of Salaries for the Second Batch of Government Internship Program

Gov. Douglas Cagas led the prayer before beginning the distribution of salaries for the second batch of Government Internship Program (GIP) beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) implemented by the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur, this morning, outside the Coliseum, Matti, Digos City.

 

According to Provincial PESO Manager Rolly Impas, 837 recipients of the second batch earned their salary of P5,940.00 after undergoing fifteen (15) days training skills such as Welding, Plumbing, Bookkeeping, Nail Art, Basic Electrical Wiring Installation, Food Processing, Rug and Pot Holder Making, and Coconut Handycraft.

Mr. Impas added that the payment was made by batch, based on the governor’s order, to prevent a large number of people and to comply with the minimum health protocols against COVID-19. (PIO | MarisDane)
